How to Join

OU Women’s Rugby is a club sport, and we accept everyone who wants to play. Rugby can be played by people of all body types and athletic abilities, and therefore we’re looking for all different kinds of people to join the team. We’ve had people from all different athletic backgrounds; no matter where you’re at we’ll help you learn the skills you need to have fun playing.
Joining rugby at OU also means you’ll be a part of one of the most successful women’s collegiate teams in the country. But don’t worry, we’ll teach you everything you need to know. There’s no prior experience necessary; right now we only have a few girls who never played rugby before coming to OU!
Joining rugby is a great chance to learn a new sport, play competitively, have a lot of fun, and meet some great people at the same time. Come out and give it a shot!
How to get involved:
- We practice every Tuesday & Thursday at 5:30 at the Al Velie Rugby Complex located at the corner of GT Blankenship & Chautauqua
- Show up to practice, learn some skills, meet some mates and play the game!
- Email JP at Jinnie.R.Pratt-1@ou.edu if you’re interested in playing.
